Drove as far as Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park just east of Butte, MT.   Had rain part of the way there so now the Jeep and motorhome are a mess.  However, on the bright side, no bugs stuck to the windshield and grill!

Took the drive up to the cavern, walked a few trails, back to the motorhome for dinner and a quiet evening.  Saw signs for the Prairie Rattler - will definitely be looking where we put our feet and making sure Baxter doesn't do any wandering around!

We were surprised to see almost no wildlife on our whole drive today, except a dead cow elk and a dead deer on the freeway.  We did see a largeblack hairy thing while on one of our walks, and Mike was able to capture a picture!

In the "things we learned today" column, we thought the following info might be helpful to those with small children or grandchildren:

Off to tour the cavern in the morning, and then headed for the Madison Buffalo Jump.  We will be looking only, not jumping!

Taking Baxter for one last walk before dark.

The Stamon's are finally on the road!  Everything is in storage, the house is on the market, and we're free to ramble as we choose.

We left Hoquiam on June 1st and spent the night at Elissa's in Sumner.  Off to Poulsbo RV to have the motorhome detailed on Friday, then overnight in CleElum.  On to Gallangers in Colville on Saturday the 3rd.

Had a wonderful week with Gallangers, discovered a new board game (Sequence), and had a great visit.  Mike had his first "adventure" on Wednesday the 8th when he fell from a ladder while in Al's shop.  Fortunately, Al was standing under him and broke his fall!  Sore and bruised with lots of boo-boos, but very fortunate.  Had planned on leaving on Thursday but went to the ER for xrays instead, to rule out any cracked or broken bones. Good news - nothing broken or cracked!

Headed out on Friday the 9th for points east - easy driving and a beautiful, sunny day. Drove as far as the 50,000 Silver Dollar Bar and Casino (and most importantly, the free RV park!) about 63 miles into Montana on I-90. Great spot for a stop-over. Planned our travels for the 10th - Lewis & Clark Caverns and Madison Buffalo Jump and continuing to work our way east.  We will then head for the Black Hills to spend a few days checking things out there.

No pictures to post yet, but I'm sure we'll have lots in short order.
